These are the perfect size for a bunch of crayons or pencils. Also for stuff like the smaller lego kits; helps keep all those speciality pieces together along with the manual. We use a bunch of these in kid's playroom for stuff like that. They don't seem the sturdiest units in the world, but they're also not flimsy. And the first ones we've got have held up for months with some reasonable usage every couple of days. (Along with the usual dropping and abuse by kids.) The latch or whatever isn't the most secure thing either, but also, works well enough for non-critical items like kid's crayons/markers/similar. Will probably buy more of them.
